Watch: Jos Buttler hits 107m six to the second tier of Wankhede
Jos Buttler went on to record his third hundred of IPL 2022 for Rajasthan Royals, scoring 116 off just 65 deliveries versus Delhi Capitals.
Jos Buttler hit one of the biggest sixes for this year's edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) on Friday (April 22). The explosive Rajasthan Royals (RR) opening batter smashed an eye-catching 107-metre six in a league-stage encounter against the Delhi Capitals (DC).
In the form of his life, the aggressive right-hander got a delivery from pacer Shardul Thakur in his arc and dispatched it to the upper tier of the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. The ball kept sailing to the cow corner of the iconic ground.
Easily one of the longest maximums hit in IPL 2022, the Jos Buttler six was timed to absolute perfection after a delivery from Thakur went woefully wrong and played the perfect fooder for the batter to get underneath the ball in his brutal downswing.

The picturesque stroke was seen in full glory near the end of the 10th over in Royals' first-innings. Batting 42 off 33 at the time, Jos Buttler was eyeing a few boundaries to push into the next gear with his innings. And the batter found an ideal ball from Thakur to fulfil his little goal, as the right-arm seamer delivered one perfectly within his dangerous arc.
Buttler unleashed his beautiful downswing and monstrously thumped the ball to the long-on region, many many rows back from the boundary holdings. The ball kept sailing through the air and almost hit the roof of the Wankhede Stadium.
You can bowl anywhere but the arc of the explosive English batter and Thakur paid the ultimate prize for it, with Buttler breaking no sweat in hitting him up and over for another maximum in his fantastic innings.

Jos Buttler went on to produce another scintillating knock for Royals in the tournament, finishing with a mindboggling 116 off 65 deliveries, featuring 9 fours and 9 sixes.
In an innings of zero respite shown against the opposition attack, he went hell for leather and struck his third century of the IPL 2022, becoming only the second player after Virat Kohli in 2016 to hit three or more centuries in an IPL season.
