‘Garden Mein Ghoom Raha Hai’ – Mohammed Siraj Vents His Frustration at Security Guard After the Batter Pulls Out at the Final Moment [WATCH]

Siraj could have avoided using such terms, but his frustration is understandable since pacers can get injured if they stop just before releasing the delivery, and such cases have happened before.

Mohammed Siraj made a witty remark after Matt Renshaw pulled out at the last moment on the fifth delivery of the first over during the game between Prime Minister’s XI and India. It’s never easy for a bowler to stop through his run-up at the last moment, so Siraj was visibly frustrated.

After bowling three dot balls to Renshaw, Siraj ran in for the fourth delivery, but the batter stayed out of sight at the final moment. A security guard was wandering near the sight screen, which tempted Renshaw to take this call.

However, an angry Siraj couldn’t resist and chirped, “Ae bhai, garden me ghum raha hai kya? (Hey brother, are you wandering in a garden?)” His comment instantly went viral, especially since Rohit Sharma had made a similar comment earlier this year during the England series.

The common term in both sentences was ‘garden’, so social media didn’t miss the opportunity to remind everyone about Rohit’s famous comment. Siraj could have avoided using such terms, but his frustration is understandable since pacers can get injured if they stop just before releasing the delivery, and such cases have happened before.

India take six wickets in 25 overs to remain on the front

India won the toss and opted to field first against the Prime Minister’s XI, and the move proved fruitful. The Indian pacers started the proceedings with tight lines and lengths to keep the opponent’s batters in check.

They dismissed two batters inside six overs on the score of 22, with Mohammed Siraj and Akash Deep snaring a wicket each. However, Sam Konstas and Jack Clayton stitched a fine partnership for the third wicket and added 109 runs to provide some stability to the innings.

But Harshit Rana came and wreaked havoc with the pink ball, snaring four quick wickets to put Prime Minister’s XI on the backfoot again. He dismissed Jack Clayton and Oliver Davies in the same over.

Later, Rana got the better of Jack Edwards and Sam Harper in his following over to put India in a commanding position. India will look to wrap things up quickly and chase down the total.
