Pakistan batter mocks Steve Smith with ‘no run’ shout, Pat Cummins dismisses him next ball with a brute [WATCH]

The incident happened on the fifth ball of the 19th over when Pakistan were reeling at 70/3.

Karma played a dirty joke on Pakistan batter Kamran Ghulam who fell prey to Pat Cummins just one ball after mocking Steve Smith during the AUS vs PAK 1st ODI earlier today.

The incident happened on the fifth ball of the 19th over when Pakistan were reeling at 70/3. Ghulam defended a full, straight delivery on the off stump from Cummins, with a solid front-foot stance. After blocking it, he amusingly signalled to the non-striker, Mohammad Rizwan, not to attempt a run, mimicking Australian star batter Steve Smith and leaving Cummins laughing.

The very next ball, Cummins followed it up with a sharp 142.7 km/h bouncer that unsettled Ghulam. The ball grazed his gloves, leading to a catch behind, dismissing him for only five runs.

Pat Cummins’ heroics save Australia

Speaking about the match, Pat Cummins got another wicket, of tailender Naseem Shah as Pakistan were bowled out for a subpar score of 203. Not only with the ball, Cummins delivered with the bat as well to help Australia out of peril and over the finishing line.

Chasing a relatively easy target, the hosts found themselves in trouble at 155 for seven when Cummins came to the crease. With Pakistan sniffing its first win in Australia in nearly eight years, Cummins produced a nerveless knock of 32 from 31 balls, playing in his first ODI since guiding the Aussies to the ODI World Cup win last year in India.

Cummins drove a powerful straight shot past Pakistan’s pacer Mohammad Hasnain to equalize the score, then followed it up with a square punch for a single to clinch the victory.
