KKR batter whacks a massive six in Emerging Asia Cup; ball hits the top stand and ricochets back to the ground [WATCH]

The player is known for power-hitting and flexed his muscles during the death overs to take India A to a big total.

A Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) all-rounder hit a marvellous six on the fifth delivery of the 18th over in the Emerging Asia Cup, with the ball almost going out of the ground. The player is known for power-hitting and flexed his muscles during the death overs to take India A to a big total.

Ramandeep Singh showed his power by hitting the ball miles beyond the boundary, leaving everyone awestruck. Mohammad Imran bowled a slot delivery to Ramandeep, who was ready for this length.

He covered his stumps and thwacked it over the long-on region, with the ball coming from the meat of the bat. The ball sailed all over the boundary, hit the top wall of the stadium and ricocheted back into the ground in a flash.

If not for that high stand, the ball would have gone all the way out of the ground, but it was still a massive six from Ramandeep, who specialises in hitting pacers at will. There were so many long hits throughout the game, but this shot will be placed very high in that elite list, for it went way too far.

India A won the game by seven runs against Pakistan A

After winning the toss, India A elected to bat first and proved the decision correct by posting a big first-innings total. The openers – Abhishek Sharma (35) and Prabhsimran Singh (36) – provided them a flying start, posting 68 runs in the powerplay without losing wickets.

Later, Tilak Varma (44) and Nehal Wadhera (25) took the innings forward and set the stage for big hitters to come and thrive on the set stage. Ramandeep Singh’s cameo of 17 runs ensured India A got to a big 183/8 in the first innings on a nice batting deck.

Pakistan A lost two quick wickets before Yasir Khan (33) and Qasim Akram (27) rebuilt during the chase. Later, Arafat Minhas (41) and Abdul Samad (25) played nice hands to keep Pakistan A in the game.

But they lost too many wickets, and while Abbas Afridi (18) tried his best, he couldn’t take Pakistan A over the line. They fell short by seven runs to hand India A a win to open their campaign.
