Rishabh Pant Falls Down and Scoops Pat Cummins for Six Over Fine Leg With an Audacious Shot in the Perth Test [WATCH]

It was the first six of the series.

On Day 1 of the Perth Test, Rishabh Pant audaciously scoops Pat Cummins for a six over fine leg after falling to the ground.

This incident took place on the last ball of the 42nd over. Pat Cummins bowled a fuller delivery around off, and normally, Rishabh Pant could have pushed it to mid-on or mid-off. But Pant had a different idea. No one knew what he was thinking as he moved inside the line of the ball and sent it flying over the fine leg fence for a six.

Rishabh fell over while playing a sweep-scoop shot, almost losing his balance and coming close to the stumps. We’ve seen Pant play this shot many times in T20 cricket, but to do it in this situation was incredible! It was the first six of the series.

Unfortunately, just a few overs later, Pat Cummins had the last laugh as he took the wicket of Rishabh Pant.

Talking about the match, India batted first on Day 1 of the 1st Test in Perth, and at the time of writing this report, they are 128-8. Their top and middle order failed, with several players getting out cheaply or for ducks.

India were struggling at 73-6, but Pant and Nitish Kumar Reddy built a strong 48-run partnership before Pant was dismissed for 37. India are facing difficulties on Day 1, with all the wickets so far taken by Australia’s pacers.
