Rohit Sharma Puts His Hand on His Face in Disappointment After Sarfaraz Khan’s Bizarre Dismissal [WATCH]

As soon as he was dismissed, the Indian captain put his hand on his face in frustration, and even commentators were puzzled whether Rohit was crying or laughing.

Rohit Sharma gave a frustrating reaction to Sarfaraz Khan’s dismissal during the game between Prime Minister’s XI and India. It was a perplexing gesture from Rohit, and he was confused about whether to laugh or show disappointment after seeing such a weird way of getting out.

Jack Clayton bowled a length delivery down the leg-stump line, to which Sarfaraz tried to place it towards the fine leg region. However, he could only get a faint edge, which went straight into the wicketkeeper’s gloves to dismiss Sarfaraz.

As soon as he was dismissed, the Indian captain put his hand on his face in frustration, and even commentators were puzzled whether Rohit was crying or laughing. Indeed, it was a terrible dismissal, for Sarfaraz should have looked to spend some time on the crease in this dress rehearsal and get ideal match practice for the upcoming Test.

While he might not start in the XI, India can require him at any stage, and they would have liked to see more of Sarfaraz against the pink ball, but not to be. Rohit, who himself couldn’t last long, might have expressed his disappointment with Sarfaraz later in the dressing room for finding the most awkward method to get out.

Rohit Sharma might bat in the middle order in Adelaide Test

While Sarfaraz Khan might not start, Rohit Sharma is certain to come into the XI and take captaincy duties. However, his inclusion will disrupt the team combination that found ample success in the first Test.

KL Rahul and Yashasvi Jaiswal did a fabulous job opening the innings and must continue to open to maintain continuity. Hence, Rohit might slot himself in the middle order and bat at No.5 in the next game, with Rishabh Pant going a position below.

Unfortunately, Dhruv Jurel will miss out, but the team has no other way to accommodate Rohit. That will enable the side to persist with Rahul and Jaiswal as their opening pair.

They also opened in the warm-up fixture against Prime Minister XI and got a good idea of what to expect with the pink ball. They will have more chances of succeeding now.
