After Hardik Pandya, Sarfaraz Khan brings out the ramp shot in IND vs NZ 1st Test [WATCH]

The incident happened on the 27th over of India's innings when William O'Rourke came up with a deadly bouncer.

During the ongoing IND vs NZ 1st Test, dynamic young batter Sarfaraz Khan displayed his varied range of strokeplay with an incredible ramp shot off Kiwi pacer William O’Rourke.

The incident happened on the 27th over when O’Rourke came up with a deadly bouncer but Sarfaraz managed to time a ramp shot to perfection as the ball raced away to the boundary.

Notably, premier India all-rounder Hardik Pandya also hit a similar ramp shot during the recent Bangladesh T20I series which had gone increasingly viral on social media.

Speaking about Sarfaraz, the 26-year-old batter put up a stellar display with the bat, scoring a 42-ball fifty and registering his fourth half-century in Test cricket.

Hosts India tip scales in favour despite early setback

The Indian team had a horror outing in their first innings, getting bowled out for a mere 46 and in the process, registered their lowest ever total in Tests at home.

However, the hosts showed strong intent in their second innings to turn around their fortunes after New Zealand had posted a total of 402 runs in their first innings, establishing a big lead of 356 runs. At the end of Day 3’s play, India had reduced New Zealand’s lead to 125 runs and put themselves back in the contest.

Indian openers Yashasvi Jaiswal and skipper Rohit Sharma gave a good foundation with a 72-run stand. Rohit also managed to score a fifty (52 off 63) while Jaiswal made 35 off 52 balls.

It was then Rohit and Sarfaraz, who propelled India’s scoreboard with a game-changing 136-run partnership as the Men in Blue finished Day 3 at 231 for 3.

Unfortunately, Virat Kohli was dismissed on the final ball of the day on 70 while Sarfaraz remained unbeaten on 70* off 78 deliveries.
