The ball hit the right part of the willow, and the timing was so good to take the ball all over the boundary for a terrific maximum.
Temba Bavuma hit a magnificent uppercut for a six on the fifth delivery of the 42nd over by Asitha Fernando. It was such a sweetly timed shot, and the timing was impeccable as the ball sailed over the ropes.
Asitha bowled a short-length delivery to Bavuma, who made some room and moved to the leg side to play it towards the off-side region. However, the ball was still above his height, so he leapt with both legs in the air, helping him to control the bounce of the delivery.
The ball hit the right part of the willow, and the timing was so good to take the ball all over the boundary for a terrific maximum. Itβs not an easy shot to execute, for Bavuma needed to get a lot of things correct.

The bounce was always taking the ball over Bavuma, but his jump and timing of the shot were immaculate, which helped him impart enough power in the short. It was easily among the finest shots in the game, especially given how difficult the deck was to bat on in Durban.
After being asked to bat first, South Africa could only manage 191 – thanks to a terrific knock of 70 runs by the skipper. Apart from him, Keshav Maharaj (24) and Kagiso Rabada (15) also played fine hands to propel South Africa to a fighting total on a tough deck.
Asitha Fernando and Lahiru Kumara took three wickets, while Vishwa Fernando snared two wickets for Sri Lanka. Later in the second innings, Sri Lanka were bundled on a mere 42, their lowest total in Test cricket history.
Marco Jansen wreaked havoc, snaring seven wickets for just 13 runs in 6.5 overs, taking the least number of balls to snare seven wickets. Gerald Coetzee took two wickets, while Kagiso Rabada dismissed a batter.
In reply, South Africa are currently 28/0 in the third innings and would look to score big. They already have a big lead, and more runs from here on will pile pressure on Sri Lanka.
