Umpires call up Rohit Sharma to complain about Sarfaraz Khan [WATCH]

The umpires looked clearly displeased with Sarfaraz's antics.

During the ongoing IND vs NZ 3rd Test in Mumbai, a moment of confusion ensued in the middle when the umpires called up Indian skipper Rohit Sharma and they looked clearly displeased with something.

Along with Rohit, India team newbie Sarfaraz Khan was also called by the umpires as they seemed to have a problem with him.

It has been understood that Richard Illingworth complained to Rohit about Sarfaraz’s antics. It can be presumed that Sarfaraz’s relentless sledging was the reason for the intervention.

The incident occurred just before the 32nd over of New Zealand’s first innings. The umpires had a long conversation with Sarfaraz Khan for his remarks from the short-leg position along with Rohit Sharma while Virat Kohli also joined the exchange. Rohit could be seen absolutely engaged with the umpires in the discussion before eventually wrapping it up on a light-hearted note.

Watch the video of the incident below.

India strike early in final Test in Mumbai

Speaking about the match, hosts India made a strong start to the final match of the series, picking up three wickets in the first session on Day1.

Washington Sundar, who was a late addition to India’s squad for the ongoing Test series, once again delivered the goods by getting the important wickets of Kiwi skipper Tom Latham and the dynamic Rachin Ravindra. Sundar, in the previous game, put up a stellar bowling display, picking up 11 wickets to his name.

At the time of writing this report, the New Zealand scoreboard read 131 for 3 in 38.3 overs with Daryl Mitchell and Will Young currently at the crease.
