Mohammed Siraj and Kuldeep Yadav were seen having some fun during India’s second T20I against Sri Lanka on Saturday, February 26 at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium, Dharamsala. In the 10th over of the Lankan innings, the duo decided to mimic the on-field umpire. In the penultimate ball of the over, Yuzvendra Chahal trapped Charith Asalanka plumb in front.
Asalanka went for the sweep shot, but was struck right in front of the stumps. The ball would have gone on to hit the middle and leg stump and the on-field umpire raised his finger. However, Asalanka decided to use the Decision Review System (DRS) after a brief discussion with partner, Pathum Nissanka.
But replays showed that the on-field decision was bang on. In the end, Sri Lanka lost the review and Asalanka had to go back after scoring only two off five balls. Thereafter, Siraj and Kuldeep, who both aren’t part of the match, mimicked the umpire from behind.

Asalanka’s wicket was a crucial one as he had scored a half-century in the opening game of the series on Thursday. After being put in to bat first, the visitors racked up a decent score of 183 for five on the board. Nissanka and Danushka Gunathilaka put on 67 runs for the opening wicket off 8.4 overs to lay the platform.
Ravindra Jadeja struck first blood, getting rid of Gunathilaka, who scored 38 runs off 29 balls with the help of four fours and two sixes. Thereafter, Asalanka, Kamil Mishara and Dinesh Chandimal failed to get into double digits, but Nissanka carried on his own merry way.

The right-hander scored 75 runs off 53 balls with 11 fours and batted until the 19th over of the innings. When Bhuvneshwar Kumar trapped him in front, Lanka’s score was at 160 in 19 overs. Skipper Dasun Shanaka also played a massive role.
The captain stayed unbeaten on 47 off 19 balls with two fours and as many as five sixes in his knock. His inning propelled the Lankans past the 180-run mark. All the Indian bowlers got one wicket apiece.
