In a hilarious development, the Rajasthan Royals (RR) official Twitter handle posted their new recruit, wristspinner Yuzvendra Chahal could be seen opening the batting alongside England’s mighty Jos Buttler in the IPL 2022.
RR on Wednesday (March 16) made a funny post, asking their fans for 10,000 retweets if they want to see Chahal open the batting with Buttler.
As fans humorously made sure that the mark was crossed easily, the deck seems cleared for Chahal to go all guns blazing at the top with the ever-explosive Englishman.

Ever since the experienced leggie joined the RR camp ahead of the IPL 2022, fans have witnessed a lot of funny banter between him and the franchise’s social media admin.
At one point, Chahal threatened to hack the franchise’s social media account and posted another tweet where he alleged to have gotten the password as well.

In a hilarious follow-up, the RR Twitter account soon posted a picture of Yuzvendra Chahal being declared the team’s new, unofficial captain for the season, inspiring laughs and a funny reaction from even designated captain Sanju Samson.

But, banter aside, Chahal’s union with RR after a prolonged stint with Royal Challengers Bangalore (RR) is one of the most interesting aspects of IPL 2022, starting March 26.
Undoubtedly one of the finest bowlers to have played the league, the 31-year-old enters the RR camp with a whopping 139 wickets from 114 IPL matches and an economy rate of 7.59.
At RR, Chahal will form arguably the best spin duo of the tournament with ace off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin, who is another IPL great with 145 wickets at an economy rate of 6.91.
