Umran Malik continued his fantastic IPL 2022 with an incredible spell of 5 for 25 for SRH against GT.

Umran Malik outdid yet another batter with his menacing pace in IPL 2022 for Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), delivering an astonishing yorker at nearly 153 clicks to get rid of Gujarat Titans' (GT) well set Wriddhiman Saha on Wednesday (April 27).

Despite batting on 68 off 37 at the time, Saha was made to look helpless by a top-notch yorker at the base of the stumps by SRH's fastest quick on show. Umran ran in and delivered one of his fastest balls of the tournament to give SRH a much-needed breakthrough.

With the opposition well placed at 122/2 in the 14th over chasing the target of 196 on a flat surface at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, Umran Malik gave SRH the wicket they desperately needed with a thunderbolt past Saha's willow.

The exhilarating yorker that left fans and commentators equally excited was seen in full glory on the second ball of the 14th over in Titans' run-chase. Anticipating a full-pitched delivery from Umran Malik, Saha made room for himself to try and sneak the ball through the off-side.

But the pacer went a step ahead and bowled an impeccable yorker that evaded Saha's downswing on the move to hit the base of the middle and leg-stump. By the time Saha could his bat down to make contact with the ball, the delivery from Umran had thumped onto the three sticks.

The J&K fast-bowler has been consistently super quick in this year's edition of the IPL and delivered another ball that raised talks around his raw talent and promise amongst the fans and prominent voices within the cricketing community.

One such personality sitting in the SRH dug-out was South African fast-bowling great Dale Steyn, who nodded in applause for the talent on display, having earlier backed his case as one of the brightest young cricketers at this year's IPL.

To turn Steyn's grin into a beaming smile, Umran went on to bag his maiden IPL five-fer, finishing with astonishing figures of 5 for 24 off his 4 overs to change the game in his team's favour.
