Bangladesh beat Afghanistan by eight runs in their Asia Cup 2025 fixture last month.
After Bangladesh beat Afghanistan in the Asia Cup 2025, the two teams will meet again in the UAE for three T20Is followed by three ODIs. Fans will find the AFG vs BAN live streaming details here. The T20I series will commence on October 2 in Sharjah. The second and third matches of the series will also be played at the same venue.
Afghanistan won the solitary match against Hong Kong in the league stage, before losing to Bangladesh and Sri Lanka in the Group B fixtures. Previously, they had also lost to Pakistan in the final of the UAE Tri-Series. Overall, they’ve won five out of nine 20-over games this year. They would look to improve their tally when they meet their Asia Cup competitors on familiar venues once again.
Bangladesh, on the other hand, were on the brink of beating Pakistan to meet India in the Asia Cup 2025. Throughout the continental tournament, the team pulled themselves out of difficult situations to come closer to victory. Regular skipper Litton Das was absent for half of the series as he suffered from a side strain during a practice session. This year, Bangladesh have won nine of their 14 T20 games.
Talking about the head-to-head stats, Bangladesh have clinched three out of the last five T20Is. In their last clash in Abu Dhabi, Tanzid Hasan’s half-century propelled Bangladesh to 154/5. Most of the Afghan bowlers gave away runs at more than six RPO.
In the second innings, Nasum Ahmed dismissed Sediqullah Atal for a golden duck. While the other opener, Rahmanullah Gurbaz, scored a gritty 35, the wickets continued to fall on the other side. Mustafizur Rahman scalped three wickets, while as many as three more bowlers took two wickets each. The match went down to the last over, with 22 runs needed in the last six balls. Taskin Ahmed was hit for two sixes by Noor Ahmad, but the bowler had the last laugh on the last ball of the innings to help Bangladesh win by eight runs.
Wafiullah Tarakhil and Bashir Ahmad from Afghanistan have earned maiden call-ups on the back of a successful Shpageeza Cricket League 2025. Gloveman Jaker Ali will continue to lead Bangladesh in place of Litton Das. Soumya Sarkar, who missed the Asia Cup, returns to the side.
The AFG vs BAN live streaming for T20Is will be available on the FanCode App and website in India.
The bilateral series will not be telecast in India.
