Gujarat Titans defeated Punjab Kings in a thrilling game on Friday (April 8) in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL). While Rahul Tewatia and Shubman Gill hogged all the limelight for their heroics in the chase, another player, Sai Sudharsan, making his IPL debut also made a mark setting a platform in the steep chase.

He was included in the playing XI at the expense of Vijay Shankar who was injured and the 20-year-old made full use of the opportunity. Sudharsan looked technically strong during his stay at the crease as he played some brilliant shots. One of them was a four off Kagiso Rabada that stole the limelight during the chase.

It was in the 14th over when the Titans were in absolute control of the chase with the partnership between Sudharsan and Gill had flourished. Mayank Agarwal had brought Rabada back into the attack to stem the run flow and break the partnership. But the South African international was at the receiving end of some clean hitting on the third delivery of the over.

Rabada came steaming in to deliver a 138.8 kph cross-seam delivery but landed in the slot for the batter. Sudharsan was quick to loft the ball through the line superbly with a full bat-face showing his class. The ball went over long-on landing just behind the boundary line for a four even as the youngster held his pose after playing a classy shot.
