Did Rohit Sharma Take DRS After Timer Ran Out During RR vs MI IPL 2025 Clash? Watch Proof

The incident involving Rohit Sharma took place during the second over of the RR vs MI match.

Mumbai Indians (MI) batter Rohit Sharma made last-minute call to review an LBW decision during the IPL 2025 match against Rajasthan Royals (RR) in Jaipur on Thursday.

Rohit Sharma survives during RR vs MI match

Rohit Sharma was initially given out LBW off Fazalhaq Farooqi’s ball by the umpire, but the former MI captain did not signal for the review until after the DRS timer displayed zero. The incident happened during the second over of Mumbai Indians’ innings.

To Rohit Sharma’s relief, the ball-tracker showed pitching outside leg and the decision was overturned to not out. Rohit Sharma, though, went onto score 53 runs from 36 balls, hitting nine fours in the process. The 38-year-old was dismissed by Riyan Parag in the 13th over.

Rohit Sharma has enjoyed quite the turnaround in IPL 2025. The veteran managed to score just 82 runs in the first six matches, but has gone to score three half-centuries in the next four matches since. Rohit Sharma has scored 240 runs from nine matches at a strike-rate of 156.86.

MI post challenging total

Mumbai Indians posted a challenging total of 217/2 from 20 overs. Apart from Rohit Sharma, Ryan Rickelton (61), Suryakumar Yadav (48*) and Hardik Pandya (48*) played vital knocks.
