Ayush Badoni faced three balls, two of which were smashed to the fence as he held his nerve under pressure for Lucknow Super Giants.

Young batter Ayush Badoni has certainly made it a habit to play crucial knocks for his side Lucknow Super Giants in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) season. He has already impressed with his skills and the way he responds to tough situations he has batted in so far.

It was another such instance in the game between LSG and Delhi Capitals on Thursday (April 7) when the 22-year-old won the match for his side from a tricky situation. Chasing 150, Quinton de Kock’s 80 had already put LSG in a winning position. But when he got out in the 16th over, they still needed 28 runs and the DC bowlers managed to pull things back to bring the equation down to 19 runs off the last two overs.

The equation eased out a little bit for the last over with only five runs needed. However, Deepak Hooda getting out turned out to be a blow for the Super Giants. It wasn’t easy for a new batter on a slow pitch to come out and time the ball from the word go.

Well, but try telling that to Ayush Badoni. The young man came out to bat with five runs needed off as many deliveries. He left the first ball hoping that it would be called wide but that didn't happen. But Badoni didn’t take any pressure and managed to churn out to a boundary to make the equation easy for his side.

With one run needed from three balls, LSG would’ve backed him to finish off the game and Badoni did it in style. Shardul Thakur attempted a wide yorker which went wrong and ended up in the slot and Ayush Badoni smashed it for a kind of a flat six over the in-field. It was yet another instance of the youngster keeping his cool in crunch moments for LSG and finishing off a game for them.
