The Lucknow Super Giants finished seventh on the points table last season, after being able to accumulate 12 points in the league stage. Having said that, not being able to accelerate towards the death was one of the major aspects which pulled their progress back.
Ahead of the IPL 2026 auction, the Super Giants have released big names like David Miller and Shamar Joseph from the squad. To add to that, Akash Deep was one of the bowlers to face the axe along with Ravi Bishnoi and Rajvardhan Hangargekar.
Ahead of the IPL 2026 auction, one of the primary targets for the franchise would be to go big after an established finisher, who can play a big role in accelerating the innings at the back-end. To add to that, they would also like to bid for a quality spinner after letting go of Bishnoi. The franchise has a good amount of purse remaining, which would give them an edge over the other teams.
