LSG’s Digvesh Singh Rathi brings out notebook celebration again during IPL 2025 clash against Mumbai Indians
Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) spinner Digvesh Singh Rathi brought out the controversial notebook celebration once again, this time during Friday’s IPL 2025 match against Mumbai Indians (MI).

He brought out the celebration after he dismissed Naman Dhir in the ninth over of Mumbai Indians’ chase.
The 25-year-old had also done the notebook celebration against Punjab Kings (PBKS) a few days ago after he saw off Priyansh Arya. Digvesh as handed one demerit point and fined 25 per cent of his match fees. In that game, Digvesh had finished with figures of 2/30, but his efforts went in vain as Punjab Kings won by eight wickets.
It remains to be seen if Digvesh suffers a similar fate for his second offence in as many matches, or if he could face more severe consequences.
LSG vs MI match in IPL 2025
Mumbai Indians had won the toss and opted to field in their IPL 2025 match against Lucknow Super Giants. Lucknow Super Giants lost their openers Will Jacks and Ryan Rickelton in the powerplay but still managed to post a total of 64/1 in the same phase. Nicholas Pooran (12) could not create the kind of impact that his teammates would have wanted.

However, crucial contributions from Ayush Badoni (30) and David Miller (27) led L:ucknow Super Giants to 203/8. Hardik Pandya, with figures of 5/36 was Mumbai Indians’ most impressive bowler. At the time of writing this report, Mumbai Indians were 177/4 in 18.2 overs with Hardik Pandya and Tilak Varma in the middle.
Both Lucknow Super Giants and Mumbai Indians have played three matches so far and both teams have won just one match so far.
