Gujarat Titans (GT) have decided to drop Sherfane Rutherford for their match against the Rajasthan Royals (RR) today in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL 2025).

In Rutherford’s place, GT have handed a debut to Afghanistan cricketer Karim Janat.
The West Indies cricketer have made a strong impact this season playing for GT. In the eight matches he featured, Rutherford has hit 201 runs at an average of 40.20 and a SR of above 150s.
Bought for INR 2.6 crores at the auction, Rutherford will be crucial for GT as they head into the business end of the tournament. The Shubman Gill-led side are in a good position to secure qualification and can even finish in the top two and get two shots at qualification for the final.
