Despite having a subpar season with the bat, Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) skipper Rishabh Pant roared back to form in their final league match of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL 2025) with a scintillating century against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB).
Pant slammed an unbeaten 118* off 61 balls and celebrated it with a unique backflip celebration.

Speaking about the LSG vs RCB match, the century from Pant propelled the Lucknow outfit to a towering total of 227 for 3 in 20 overs. Mitchell Marsh also contributed with a quickfire fifty, scoring 67 off 37. RCB now faces an uphill task in their bid to get a top-two finish.
At the time of writing this report, the RCB scoreboard reads 66 for 1 in 6 overs with Virat Kohli and Rajat Patidar currently batting in the middle.
For RCB to get a top-two finish and get a double attempt to secure a final berth, they will need to eke out a win tonight. A loss, however, will force them to play the Eliminator where they will face Mumbai Indians (MI) and if they lose in that game, it means their wait for the elusive maiden title will get extended further.
On the other hand, LSG will end their campaign at sixth position and 14 points if they manage to outclass RCB. Else, they will remain seventh with 12 points.
