He accomplished this feat in just 40 balls against the Netherlands at the Arun Jaitley Stadium during the ongoing 2023 ODI World Cup. Maxwell surpassed the previous record held by South Africa’s Aiden Markram, who achieved a century in 49 balls against Sri Lanka at the same venue earlier in the tournament.
