
IPL 2025 Revised Schedule: BCCI Informs Franchises To Regroup On This Day

The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 is set to resume soon after the BCCI had informed all franchises except Punjab Kings to report to their respective venues by Tuesday (May 13), according to a report by Indian Express.
The tournament was suspended on Friday due to the escalating tensions between India and Pakistan. However, with both nations agreeing for a ceasefire on Saturday, the plans for resumption have been set into motion.
IPL 2025 Teams To Report Back On Tuesday
According to the report, BCCI is planning to conclude the tournament on May 25. There are 17 more matches remaining in the tournament with 12 more league-stage games to be played.

Punjab Kings will have a neutral venue which will be decided by the government. There were reports of Chennai, Hyderabad and Bengaluru being the venues for the remainder of the tournament, but the BCCI will have to the get the nod from the government.
“All franchises have been told to inform its team to report to their respective destination by Tuesday. Punjab will have a neutral venue, so their destination is yet to be confirmed. The board is planning to have more double headers so that they can finish the IPL as per its scheduled day,” a source in the BCCI told Indian Express.
India and Pakistan had agreed to a ceasefire on Saturday which has raised hopes for the IPL 2025 resumption.
There were talks of relocation with the Emirates Cricket Board offering Dubai as a venue while the England and Wales Cricket Board also offered to host the remainder of the matches in the UK.
Seven Teams Still In Playoffs Race
The match in Dharamasala between Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals was abandoned midway through the first innings after reports of tensions along the border. All the players, coaches, broadcast crew and match officials reached Delhi by a special train arranged by the government.
Majority of the foreign players and coaches have left to their respective countries with some of them deciding to stay back.
At the time of suspension, the Gujarat Titans, Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Punjab Kings and Mumbai Indians were in the top-4 of the IPL 2025 table. DC, Kolkata Knight Riders and Lucknow Super Giants are also in contention for a playoffs with varying chances.
