India captain Shubman Gill and England’s Harry Brook were involved in a friendly banter during India’s second innings of the second Test at Edgbaston on Saturday.
On Day four of the second Test against England on Saturday, Harry Brook cheekily attempted to convince Shubman Gill to declare. According to AccuWeather, morning showers have been forecast in Birmingham on Sunday, the fifth and final day of the second Test.

India eventually declared their second innings at 427/6, meaning that the visitors had a lead 607 runs. The target for England heading into Sunday’s fifth and final day is 608. England lost opener Zak Crawley (0) and Ben Duckett (25) in the second and fifth overs respectively. While Mohammed Siraj got rid of Zak Crawley, Akash Deep dismissed Ben Duckett.

England currently lead the five-match series 1-0 following a five-wicket win in the first Test in Leeds last week. The hosts were set a target of 371 runs towards the end of day four of that Test. Zak Crawley (65) and Ben Duckett (149) forged 188 runs for the first wicket, which set an early platform for England’s win. Joe Root (53*), Jamie Smith (44*) and captain Ben Stokes (33) played equally important knocks to take England home.
