The Indian wicketkeeper-batter was hit on his left index finger while he went to collect a delivery in the first innings of the third Test at Lord’s. He chose to go back to the dressing room. Following the incident, he was constantly monitored by the medical team. However, Pant came out to bat in both innings. He scored a valiant fifty in the first innings, after which a peach of a delivery by Jofra Archer sent him back in the second. In good news for the Indians, the Lucknow Supergiants (LSG) skipper is set to make his appearance in the fourth Test. Pant took to his social media handles to express his happiness after training amid injury concerns. Shubman Gill and the Indian management will be hopeful of a good performance from him in the fourth Test.

And provided the position of the visitors in the series, he will aim to pack a punch again.
