England white-ball captain Harry Brook opened up on what triggered the hosts during the ENG vs IND 3rd Test at Lord’s, which saw a lot of heat and hostility being exchanged between the teams. England openers Zak Crawley and Ben Duckett reverted to time-wasting tactics towards the end of Day 3 which irked Shubman Gill & Co.

This led Ben Stokes and his men to come out charging during India’s second innings as they tried to get under the skin of the visitors.
Echoing on the same lines, Brook highlighted that England always abide by the spirit of cricket but decided to take on the attack and unveil their aggressive side when Gill opened the gates.
Speaking at the pre-match press-match conference ahead of the Manchester Test, Brook said,
“We always aim to play within the spirit of the game but we felt it was time to rethink our approach and take the game to India. It’s been quite enjoyable. Just like what we witnessed at Lord’s — 11 Indians against just 2 of us.”

With the talismanic India pacer set to pay only three out of the five games in the series, there is strong anticipation regarding the availability of Jasprit Bumrah for the Manchester Test. He has already played in two out of the three games and will play only one of the remaining two.
However, with India trailing 1-2 and with the series on the line, Mohammed Siraj earlier today confirmed that Jasprit Bumrah will feature in the India playing XI for the ENG vs IND 4th Test.
Notably, India is also riddled with multiple injuries. All-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy has been ruled out of the series with a knee injury while training at the gym while Arshdeep Singh will miss the fourth Test due to an injury to his bowling arm. Akash Deep is also suffering from a groin issue and is in a race against time to be fit. Anshul Kamboj has been added as backup to the squad.
