The tournament will kick-off on September 30 in Guwahati.

Only a few days ago, the Women’s World Cup 2025 prize money saw a massive 297% boost compared to the last edition in 2022. It looked like women’s cricket was finally receiving the attention and value it deserved.

Women’s World Cup 2025 Tickets Pre-Sale Begins

An embarrassingly low price of INR 100 (approximately USD 1.14) has been announced to boost engagement in the women’s cricket fraternity, making the global event the most accessible and affordable in ICC’s history.

The board, on Thursday, released the low-priced tickets in an exclusive four-day pre-sale window. The tickets will be available via Google Pay on the official website of the Cricket World Cup (tickets.cricketworldcup.com) till September 8. Regular sales will begin on September 9. The cities hosting the prestigious ICC event are Navi Mumbai, Indore, Visakhapatnam, Guwahati, and Colombo.

The 13th edition of the women’s CWC will begin on September 30 in India and Sri Lanka. The hosts will lock horns in Guwahati for the tournament opener.

The other six teams competing in the tournament are the defending champions Australia, England, South Africa, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Pakistan.

All matches involving Pakistan women, potentially including the Semi-final and final, will be played in Colombo due to border tensions with India. If Pakistan don’t reach the playoffs, the two deciders would be held in Navi Mumbai.

Former Player Predicts India To Face Australia in Final

She believes the Harmanpreet Kaur-led side will face Alyssa Healy’s Australia in the final on November 2.

“They’ve been doing really well in the one-day format. Australia remain the toughest opposition. But with the preparation BCCI has ensured — strong bilateral series, good quality opposition. India does have a very good chance. India and Australia in the final,” Raj said to K Shriniwas Rao, Head of Sports Content at Times Internet.

Through the ebbs and flows of life, sports have been a constant companion since I learnt how to communicate. The bat, racquet, paddle, a pen, and now a keyboard have not just been extensions of my arm, but fragments of my brain and heart. They help me express, analyse, and celebrate the game I love, blending passion with purpose, one word at a time.
