Suryakumar Yadav has reached a major milestone in T20 internationals by hitting 150 sixes. With this achievement, he joins the list that includes Rohit Sharma and Jos Buttler.
Playing in the 1st T20I of the series in Canberra against Australia, Suryakumar Yadav hit a six off Nathan Ellis in the 10th over. With that shot, he became the fifth player to join the list of batters who have hit 150 or more sixes in T20 internationals.
Suryakumar Yadav came into the series with some pressure after a disappointing Asia Cup with the bat, but he quickly found his rhythm once he arrived in Australia. He played confidently and showed why he is considered one of the best T20I batters in the world.
Before this match, Suryakumar Yadav had 148 sixes in T20 internationals. He hit two more sixes in this game, one off Josh Hazlewood and another off Nathan Ellis, to reach a big milestone. With this, he became only the second Indian batter after Rohit Sharma to hit 150 sixes in T20Is.
This is a special achievement because no other Indian batter comes close to them in terms of six-hitting. The next best is Virat Kohli, who has 124 sixes in T20Is.
