A fan entered the pitch during the RR vs KKR IPL 2025 match and touched Riyan Parag's feet.
A fan invaded the pitch at Guwahati’s Barsapara Stadium during the 2025 Indian Premier League (IPL) mach between Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on Wednesday.
He entered the pitch during the 12th over of Kolkata Knight Riders’ run chase and touched the feet and hugged RR’s stand-in skipper Riyan Parag, who was about to start bowling.
Rajasthan Royals are playing their first two “home” matches of the IPL 2025 season in Guwahati. Guwahati also happens to be the place of birth of Riyan Parag, who was born on November 10, 2001. Till date, the 23-year-old has played 72 IPL matches since making his debut in 2019 and has scored 1202 runs at a strike-rate of 135.82. Parag has scored six fifties in total.
This is not the first time a fan has invaded the pitch to meet players in IPL 2025. A similar incident happened during the IPL 2025 opener between Kolkata Knight Riders and Royal Challengers Bengaluru at Eden Gardens. A fan had breached the security during RCB’s run chase to meet Virat Kohli and he even touched the feet of the veteran India batter.

Earlier in the game, a collective effort from the Kolkata Knight Riders bowlers restricted Rajasthan Royals to 151. Dhruv Jurel top-scored for the “hosts” with 33 runs in what was an otherwise forgettable day for most of Rajasthan Royals batters. Sanju Samson (29) and stand-in skipper Riyan Parag (25) got off to starts but failed to capitalise on them.
