Australia’s rising middle-order bat Marnus Labuschagne on Friday (February 4) revealed the names of three teams that he would love to represent in the world’s biggest T20 carnival the Indian Premier League (IPL).

During a Q/A session with his fans on Twitter, Labuschagne was asked by a user about the teams he would like to play for in the IPL.

The 27-year-old right-hand batter, who is yet to make his IPL debut, went on to name Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Mumbai Indians (MI).

Marnus Labuschagne names favourite teams to represent in the IPL

“Over the years I’ve always loved watching RCB, CSK & MI,” Labushagne tweeted as a response to one of the fan queries over Twitter, declaring former champions MI and CSK along with the incredibly popular RCB as three teams he would love to play for.

Marnus Labuschagne’s dream of making an IPL debut for one of his favourite franchises could be fulfilled this season as he is part of the final list of players set to go under the hammer at the IPL 2022 mega auction.

Labuschagne is enlisted in the second set of batting allrounders up for grabs at a base price of INR 100 lakhs.

The right-hander, who can also bowl some handy part-time wristspin, is yet to represent Australia in T20Is but has played the Big Bash League (BBL) for Brisbane Heat.

In all, he has played 25 domestic T20s under his belt with 666 runs at an average of 30.27 and strike-rate of 127.34, including 4 half-centuries. He has also picked up 21 wickets at 21.09 runs per scalp.
