The women's T20 league of Australia will begin on November 9.
The Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL) 2025 is set to commence on November 9 with last season’s finalists, Melbourne Renegades and Brisbane Heat. Fans can check out the details of 2025 WBBL live streaming in India here.
Eight teams are set to clash in 40 league-stage matches in a double round-robin format. They are — Melbourne Renegades, Melbourne Stars, Brisbane Heat, Sydney Thunder, Sydney Sixers, Hobart Hurricanes, Perth Scorchers, and Adelaide Strikers.
The top four sides on the points table will advance to the Playoffs, starting on December 9. Earlier, Melbourne Renegades had restricted Brisbane Heat from becoming the most successful franchise in the league’s history. The Renegades’s maiden title in the BBL 2024 denied a third trophy in the latter’s cabinet. Brisbane Heat are now tied with Sydney Sixers and Adelaide Strikers with two titles each.
However, the Indian fans would be excited to see the star Delhi Capitals (DC) batter, Jemimah Rodrigues, back in action for the Brisbane Heat Women. The 25-year-old will be the only Indian player to feature in this edition of Australia’s domestic T20 league.
