Known for putting in the hard yards in practise, Virat Kohli was bemused over his dismissal at RCB nets in IPL 2022.

A cricketer with a great body of work on and off the field, Virat Kohli is known for putting in the hard yards in net sessions. Kohli works harder than others in ironing out his flaws and sharpen his strengths in practice.

Fellow cricketers and coaches have spoken publicly of Kohli's immense desire and determination to make each of his net sessions count. The right-hander faces every delivery in the nets with the same level of focus he would attach to a ball in real game scenarios.

If he errs, Virat Kohli feels bitterly disappointed, like he would if he faltered against the best bowlers on the pitch.

One such dismissal in a net session during the IPL 2022 left the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) veteran very angry and he almost hit the stumps with his bat.

Virat Kohli gets angry after getting out in RCB nets for IPL 2022

The incident is from a net session held at the MCA Stadium in Pune ahead of RCB's next league stage encounter on Saturday (April 9) against Mumbai Indians (MI).

Preparing to give his best in the marquee encounter, Virat Kohli was seen practising his batting against the spinners, who have had a wood over him in the past few seasons of IPL.

Facing wristspinner Karn Sharma, Kohli went for a cut shot off a relatively full ball and ended up missing it. The ball duly crashed onto the stumps and that brought out a reaction of anger from the batter.

The RCB great looked visibly frustrated and annoyed over his mistake, and almost hammered the stumps with his willow. Thankfully, the batter stopped himself midway and rearranged the stumps before facing the next ball.

A very strong backfoot player against spin, Virat Kohli misjudged the length of the ball on this occasion, which would've still been fine had he not gone for a shot with his bat face opened.

What would've added to Kohli's anger is that the ball from Sharma also didn't turn as much as he anticipated. Instead, it skidded on to hit the middle and leg stump.

Coming back to IPL after two seasons of struggle on neutral surfaces in UAE and India, Kohli hasn't had the best of starts to this year's edition as well. He has made only 58 runs from his first three innings of IPL 2022.
